02/29/12 The Governor’s Task Force on Broadband recently released the Minnesota Broadband Plan Outline, a 14-page report of “recommendations that the Task Force believes will help to ensure that Minnesota meets its broadband goals and becomes a national leader in developing the economic and social benefits of ubiquitous broadband.” Governor Mark Dayton issued Executive Order 11-27 in August 2011, creating the Governor’s Task Force on Broadband and directing the Task Force to develop a Minnesota Broadband Plan Outline by January 31, 2012. 01/31/12 Today, the Minnesota Governor’s Task Force on Broadband released a Broadband Plan Outline. Connect Minnesota supports the work of the Task Force through staffing, as well as providing research and mapping data. “The Task Force has presented an ambitious work plan to ensure Minnesota will meet the statutory broadband goals by 2015 and Connect Minnesota looks forward to continuing to support those efforts,” said Bill Hoffman, Connect Minnesota program manager.
